About Lukiih

A 20-year old artist, student and web-designer, Lukiih spends a great amount of the time exercising her creative energy. When she’s not drawing, designing or hammering out a 10-page paper, Lukiih is usually playing Ultimate Frisbee, reading The Economist or obsessing over the color #00ccff. She doesn't really know what sort of career path she wants to follow, but at the moment, she's interested in program development, event planning, marketing, consulting and the list goes on.

Lukiih currently lives in New York City and studies Economics at Wellesley College.

Websites Background

Lukiih released the first version of Lukiih.com on August 2009. She dabbled with HTML in 2002, but only started coding about two years ago. Lukiih continues to explore and learn about the web design world everyday. She takes a particular interest in working with others on small projects. If you are interested in having her build you a website, let her know.

Colored Pencils Background

Although she hasn’t touched a colored pencil in over a year, Lukiih plans to go back to producing more vibrant and colorful drawings someday. She started developing her coloring technique in 2001, the same year she started posting artwork online. Two years later, she stopped using Crayolas and started using Prisma colored pencils.

In 2006, Lukiih became so passionate about drawing and improving her skills that she launched an online art project called the QFI (“Quest for Improvement”). The project’s aim was to encourage artists of all levels to continue drawing. More than 1,000 artists from around the world participated.
